How microneedling works

Microneedling creates thousands of controlled micro-channels in the skin. Your body responds by producing new collagen and elastin, which is what can firm skin and soften scarring from underneath. The same channels let growth factor serums reach a depth topical products never get to on their own.

It is one of the most widely used non-surgical treatments for pitted acne scarring, and it is also used for enlarged pores, rough texture and early fine lines. Response varies by scar type — some scarring does better with other approaches, which is what the consultation is for.

What microneedling treats well

What to expect afterward

Expect redness similar to a mild sunburn for 24 to 48 hours. Most people are comfortable in makeup by day two. Skin may flake lightly around day three as it turns over. Sun protection is not optional afterward — new skin is vulnerable to pigmentation.

How many sessions

Active breakouts are settled first with acne treatment; microneedling comes after. For surface pigmentation rather than texture, a chemical peel is usually the better tool.

Collagen remodels slowly. A single session improves glow and texture within a couple of weeks, but scarring and firmness need a series — usually three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, which is why a three-session package is offered. Final results keep developing for three to six months after your last session as collagen continues to build.
